Nebraska driver ends winless string at Cocopah Speedway IMCA Winter Nationals

The big question now is if there is anyone who can get him out of victory lane.

The driver from Osceola, Neb., reeled off two Modified Division feature event wins Friday and Saturday during the first two nights of the 2014 Cocopah Speedway IMCA Winter Nationals.

Prior to his weekend wins, Smith had been in the field for the 2012 and 2013 Winter National events but had never been able to claim a feature event in five starts.

And by the end of the season he found what he wanted and drove the same car to the win in the IMCA Super Nationals in Boone, Iowa.

It is he same car he brought back for the 2014 Winter Nationals, where he put on a Super Nationals-like show both nights to get into victory lane
