Cocopah Speedway set for 2nd Half Opener – Curtain goes up on new racer concession area

September 28th is opening day at Cocopah Speedway after the long hot summer break. Not only will the speedway open for the second half of the 2013 racing season, but the new “Garage at Cocopah Speedway” will make its debut as well. Cocopah Speedway will finally have a concession area for the racers. In traditional Cocopah Speedway fashion “The Garage” will feature that little bit extra that the speedway has become known for.

The Garage at Cocopah Speedway made use of an old unused metal building that was onsite and has long been known as “The Garage”. It seems as though anytime you have community involvement in a project, it’s just that much more fun. Once the community heard what we wanted to do for the racers, there was a great amount of help available to complete the project. After the Cocopah Indian Tribe gave full support to repurpose the building for the racers, the following companies donated labor and or materials to make the vision a reality:

AA Action Plumbing

ADT Security Systems

Arizona Overhead Doors

Bad Influence Marine

Big Bobs Flooring Outlet

Blue Skies Painting Plus

Bose Corporation

David White Construction

Gordie’s Speed Center

JTJ Construction

Lowes

NRG Electric

Napa Auto Parts

One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning

Ray Orta Construction

Speedway Motors
