Cocopah Speedway Announces Radio Show!
Yuma area race fans will soon have a new source of information and news about the local dirt track racing scene. Cocopah Speedway and Outlaw Country AM 1400 are teaming up to present Cocopah Speedway’s “Laptime Live,” a weekly, half hour radio program focused on the Yuma dirt track racing community. Greg Burgess, Cocopah Speedway Director of Operations, announced that Laptime Live will air Saturday mornings at 11am, beginning Saturday, January 19th on Outlaw Country AM 1400.
Cocopah Speedway public address announcer and Yuma radio veteran Mike Stanhope will host the program, according to Burgess, who said the show will feature a mix of racing related news and results, along with interviews featuring drivers and the behind the scenes people who help make racing in Yuma possible.
Stanhope said the program provides a wonderful platform to share the stories behind local competitors and for race fans to ask questions of their favorite drivers.
Burgess and Stanhope both offered a big thank you to the management of Outlaw Country AM 1400 for their support of dirt track racing in Yuma and for providing the resources and time to make the show possible.
Cocopah Speedway kicks off the 2013 racing season with a special two night opening Friday and Saturday nights, January 18th and 19th.
